Accommodations at Powell Lakes Outdoor Learning Centre. This wilderness-based waterfront rustic Centre is situated on large wooded acreage surrounded by crown forest and nestled on a small headland between two bays on the shores of Powell Lake. The Centre offers a spacious location exclusive to VOA members for the duration of this trip.

 

 

Choice of accommodations:

  • Handcrafted cabins built by locally sourced timbers and fully “off grid”. All 5 cabins have spaced-out bunks—only bottom bunks will be booked with full large group-size bathroom within each cabin. Cabins will be male/female based as there are no “couple” private rooms in these cabins.
  • RV & limited tenting sites available.

All meals included in price and will be served in the Main Lodge, an 1,800 sq ft vaulted ceiling open concept with expansive views of lake and forest.

Prices are dependent on choice of accommodations approx. $100-$125 p/p, p/n.

Activities: Main activity is a kayak trip with additional optional activities of cycling and/or hiking/walking; opportunity to book on-site water taxi for immediate access to the 180 km Sunshine Coast Trail + local hikes close to the Centre including 13 km long barrier free lakeside trail.

*Optional add-on: Want to add on a few additional days? Powell Lakes Forest Canoe Route is a circuit of roughly a dozen lakes with portages offering small campsites along route.
